Have you ever dreamed about being stuck in a tree? What about with Dwarves surrounding you? Well, ever since I read the Hobbit I have.
Picture running away from something trying to eat you! The only way to be safe is to climb up a tall tree.
Imagine looking down and twenty feet below you is rock solid ground, with vicious creatures trying to get up the tree to have a meal! Then you think
your safe so you relax a little bit but still tense because of the beasts below and then off a little in the distance you see a FIRE! So now you’re stuck
in a tree with beasts below you and a fire coming in your direction! What do you do? Well out of nowhere a band of eagles come by. They swipe you
up to save you but to get saved they have to fly you high in the air. So now you’re in a tree with fire coming towards you and your only way out is to
get on the eagles back and be like 1000 feet off the ground to be saved! I would think of it as fun, cool, and I would feel free! But, how would a
person afraid of heights feel? Would they hide their face in the eagles back like Bilbo or would they not go?
Your on an eagle flying to somewhere, You have no idea where you are going and so you just hold on tight and pray for the best.
The eagles can only fly you so far because they are scared that they might be eaten. So you say your goodbyes and they eagles leave and
you are left to find your way to the treasure in the forest all with nothing but each other.
This was a good conflict! I loved how you drew me in by talking to me. Poor Bilbo had to hang on to one of the dwarves' feet though. He didn't get to climb on a back until they came out of the eeyrie. Sounds like Tolkien did a good job keeping you interested with this conflict.

Soaring With Eagles
